STM32 wi-fi MCU drives LPWA modules

[ad_1]

STMicroelectronics and SeongJi collectively introduced the LSM collection of low-power wide-area (LPWA) wi-fi communication modules. The gadgets are powered by ST’s STM32WL long-range wi-fi microcontroller, which the corporate says is the trade’s first Sigfox and LoRa system-on-chip.

SeongJi’s LSM100A, LSM110A, and LSM200A modules mix small dimension, low energy consumption, and price effectivity to optimize sub-GHz wi-fi connectivity throughout a variety of business and client purposes. All the modules assist each Sigfox and LoRa low-power wide-area community (LPWAN) applied sciences.

The LSM100A helps RC1, RC3, RC5, RC6, and RC7 Sigfox frequency bands, whereas the LSM110A helps RC2 and RC4 bands. The LSM200A helps the Sigfox Monarch characteristic. These modules are additionally obtainable in API-enabled variants that permit the mixing of consumers’ firmware contained in the module. The pin-compatible LSM100A and LSM110A modules are 14.0×15.0×2.8 mm with half-holes for straightforward soldering on the client’s board.

For LoRa connectivity, the LSM100A operates from 863 MHz to 923 MHz, whereas the LSM110A operates from 902 MHz to 928 MHz. The LSM200A works in all frequency bands from 863 MHz to 928 MHz. All the modules assist each LoRaWAN and P2P communications and have achieved Sigfox Verified and LoRaWAN certification, in addition to CE and FCC approvals.

Seong Ji Industrial is a world provider of wi-fi connectivity modules and a key enabler within the LPWA phase. For extra details about its merchandise, go to the corporate’s web site.
