Reverse Mount Tactile Switch Buttons – 6mm square – 10 Pack: Have you ever seen a tactile button do a headstand? This little clicky button is like a circus (circuit circus?) performer, contorting itself so its legs stick up instead of down the way most are. We think these could be used in SMT projects where you want to have a button that comes through a PCB but without the front height. These are unique and we thought some folks could probably use them in a design that needs a flush design.

The size of the tactile switch body is standard 6x6mm and the height is 6.5mm with a mounting height of 4.5mm. That means that if you have a classic 1.6mm thick PCB, the button top will rise 0.4mm over the PCB plane. If you need more height, a 0.8mm half thickness PCB will give you 1.2mm of height above the PCB plane.

Adafruit TSC2007 I2C Resistive Touch Screen Controller – STEMMA QT: Getting touchy performance with your screen’s touch screen? Resistive touch screens are incredibly popular as overlays to TFT and LCD displays. Only problem is they require a bunch of analog pins and you have to keep polling them since the overlays themselves are basically just big potentiometers. If your microcontroller doesn’t have analog inputs, or maybe you want just a way more elegant controller, the TSC2007 is a nice way to solve that problem.

This breakout board features the TSC2007, which has an easy-to-use I2C interface available. There is also an interrupt pin that you can use to indicate when a touch has been detected to your microcontroller or microcomputer. We wrapped up the chip with a 3V voltage regulator and level shifting so it’s safe to use with 3V or 5V logic. Its a nicely designed chip, and has very stable precise readings. We found its also a lot faster than trying to do all the readings on an Arduino.
