Setting up your voicemail greeting on an iPhone is simple, regardless of whatever carrier you use. Simply follow these steps.
1. Launch the Phone app (the one with the green logo).
2. Click the voicemail symbol in the bottom right corner of the screen.
3. Select the Set Up Now option from the menu that opens. If the button does not display, you have previously configured your voicemail. Change it by clicking the Greeting button in the top left corner of the screen.
4. Set up a voicemail password (4–6 digits).
5. Select whether you want to use the default or personalized greeting. The default greeting will just state your phone number and invite callers to leave a message.
6. Select custom if you wish to record your own greeting. Then press the record button and say your greeting. When you’re finished with your welcome, press the stop button.
7. In the top right corner of the screen, click done.
That’s all! Your voicemail system has been configured and activated. If you ever need to modify your voicemail greeting, simply tap the Greeting button in the upper left corner of the voicemail screen.
